Fresh off a triumph in the Italian GT Endurance Championship at Monza, Michele Beretta now sets his sights on one of the most iconic and demanding events in the international GT racing calendar: the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, third round of the prestigious GT World Challenge Europe.
On the legendary circuit nestled in the Ardennes forest, the Italian driver from Lecco will be at the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 entered by Vincenzo Sospiri Racing, sharing driving duties with three talented young Italian drivers: Alessio Deledda, Mattia Michelotto, and Andrea Frassineti. It was with Frassineti that Michele claimed a spectacular victory last weekend at Monza, starting from pole position and dominating the second round of the Italian GT Endurance Championship.
For Beretta, already a winner of the Spa 24 Hours in the Silver Cup category in 2020 behind the wheel of a Mercedes AMG GT3 with Haupt Racing Team, the Belgian endurance classic is a challenge he knows well—yet one that brings renewed intensity every year.
“Spa is a special race,” said Michele. “I’ve had the fortune to win it, but I’ve also experienced tough moments here. The unpredictable weather, the challenges of night driving in heavy traffic, and the incredible level of competition make it one of the most demanding and fascinating events in the entire GT world.”
This year, Michele and his teammates will again compete in the fiercely contested Silver Cup class, supported by the highly motivated and well-prepared Italian squad VSR. The Spa 24 Hours is a true test of endurance, strategy, and reliability for every single member of the team. “We are well organized, as we showed with our victory at Monza,” Beretta added. “My teammates are young and determined—I’ll be there as a guide and a mentor during the race.”
The 2025 edition of the Spa 24 Hours promises to be one of the most competitive ever, with the world’s top manufacturers represented on the grid and no fewer than 75 cars taking the start. Every detail—from tire management to pit strategy—will be crucial in the battle for a top result.
The entire race will be broadcast live via the official GT World Challenge Europe YouTube channel, offering fans the chance to follow every moment of the most iconic 24-hour event in GT racing.
