The Italian GT Championship is ready for the second round of 2017 on one of the most challenging circuits of the season: this weekend Misano World Circuit will host the event after the opening one that was held in Imola last April, where it was immediately a great battle between the announced protagonists of the national series reserved for Gran Turismo cars.

Both Ombra Racing drivers, Michele Beretta and Alex Frassinetti, have shown in Imola to have the right performance to fight for the win. Michele, who get back from a positive result in the latest Blancpain Endurance Cup in Silverstone, returns at the wheel of Lamborghini Huracan GT3: “We arrive in Misano after the top performance shown in Imola – said Beretta – where we were consistently the best Lamborghini on track, and in both races we fought for the overall win; the Balance of Performance decided by ACI Sport for this race will help us to close the gap with Ferrari 488 which at Imola had proved to be extremely quick, but we will have to start dealing with the handicap time in the pit-stop as provided for by the regulations for the first three teams ranked in the previous races. Although the temperatures we will find this weekend will be quite different from what we found last april in the test session, and this will be quite hard for the tyres. Our target is to bring home much points as possible, let’s see how our Huracan will fit the hot italian summer, but we are ready to fight for that win we missed in Imola.

After free practice, scheduled on Friday, the protagonists of the italian GT series will fight for the pole position on saturday, June 3, from 8:50 to 9:30. In the afternoon green flag for Race 1 (15:45, live on RaiSport 1) while on sunday, at 15:45, will be the time for Race 2 (live on AutoMotoTV); both races,48 ‘+ 1 lap long, will also be live streaming on www.acisport.it
