Michele files another successful weekend in the International GT Open. The fourth win of the season arrives at the Red Bull Ring, the title is approaching and now there is the awaited home race, in Monza.

The Austrian round of the GT International Open on the fast Styria track showed to be a success for Mike and his team, the Vincenzo Sospiri Racing.
In Race-1, despite the penalty in seconds, accumulated for winning in the previous rounds, Michele and his teammate Frederik Schandorff did a perfect job and were also helped by a bit of luck. Starting from 3rd position, Michele led the first laps, fighting hard with TF Sport’s Aston Martin and taking the lead after a few laps.
The second phase of the race was uncertain due to the rain that triggered some errors, until the race direction decided to end the race, waving the red flag. Michele, who in the first position at that moment, won the race and improved his advantage in the championship.

Race-2 was less uncertain with the #63 Huracan GT3 EVO controlling the position, having to serve yet another second penalty in the pit. Under the checkered flag Michele and Frederick arrived in fourth position, missing the third step of the podium only just one second. The weekend has to be archived with a positive balance, thanks to the victory and the fact that the Lamborghini of the VSR #63 preceded also in race-2 its direct rival in the championship, Andy Soucek in a Porsche GT3 911.

With the lead in the standings and 24 points ahead, Michele looks forward to the next appointment, in his Monza, with great enthusiasm and many expectations.
We are happy with the result and the victory, even if it came thanks to a bit of luck, due to the weather conditions that helped us, with the pouring rain that characterized the final phase of race-1. Everything went in the best way and the fact that our rival in the championship has done worse than us gives us a further boost towards the next two rounds, Monza and Barcelona.

Michele ends with a justified satisfaction and gives the appointment for the home race.
It goes without saying that I go to Monza with great satisfaction and with the desire to enjoy the friends and people who will come to see me on the track. The situation in the championship is such as to allow us to race with relative peace of mind.

Enjoy the highlights!
