A prestigious program awaits Michele in 2022. Three championships: GT World Challenge Europe, Italian GT and GT World Challenge USA at the wheel of Vincenzo Sospiri Racing’s Lamborghini Huracan GT3. At the end of May there will be the impressive ADAC Total Energies 24h at the Nürburgring, where Mike will challenge the legendary German track with the Phoenix Racing’s Audi R8 LMS GT3.

At Imola on the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit, on March 30th, Mike competed for the first round, in the Silver-Cup category, in the GT World Challenge Europe (GTWC), one of the most difficult championships in the world among those reserved to the GTs, whose media following has been further strengthened this season.
In GTWC Europe, alongside Mike there are the Japanese Yuki Nemoto and the Chilean Benjamin Hites, supported by Vincenzo Sospiri Racing. With Vincenzo Sospiri‘s team, Michele won the title in the International GT Open 2022.
The 5 rounds in which the championship is divided, also include the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, an event that has a very high value.

Michele will add to the European commitment also the Italian GT Endurance, a championship that is already in Michele’s palmares, won in 2017. In the Italian championship the line-up will be very similar to the World Challenge Europe (GTWC), in fact Michele will compete on the VSR team’s Huracàn GT3 EVO and will be joined by Nemoto. In this case, the third driver will be the Italian Edoardo Liberati.

One of the unmissable commitments for many seasons in Michele’s programme is the 24 Hours of Nurburgring. At the German race-event, one of the most characteristic endurance races in the world, Michele will aim for a top position with the Phoenix Racing’s Audi R8 LMS GT3 and will have Markus Winkelhock (Germany), Jakub “Kuba” Giermaziak (Poland) and Luis Kim Schramm (Germany) at his side.
In view of the 24 hours Mike has already joined the fray in the 3 Hours of Nordschleife, last 22 and 23 April and next weekend he will race again in the 6h Qualifying Race – Nordschleife, the aim is to gain a placing among the best, which will allow him to race directly in the final qualifying (Q1) for the 24 Hours.

In addition to the European races, Michele also took part in the GT World Challenge America (GTWC), again with the Lamborghini Huracàn GT3 EVO.
