On the eve of the first round of the\u00a0International GT Open<\/a><\/u>\u00a0Michele is looking forward to tackling this new engagement at the wheel of the Lamborghini. With Frederik Schandorff and the Vincenzo Sospiri Racing alongside him, he has what it takes to aim for the top of the championship.<\/strong><\/div>\n

The\u00a0International GT Open<\/strong>\u00a0will take place on the\u00a0French Paul Ricard\u00a0<\/strong>track, championship where\u00a0Michele<\/strong>\u00a0will go back to the wheel of the\u00a0Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo<\/strong>\u00a0flanked by the Danish driver\u00a0Frederik Schandorff<\/strong>.<\/div>\n

The first round of the\u00a02021 GT Open<\/strong>\u00a0was preceded by the\u00a0Winter Testing<\/strong>\u00a0session (19 and 20 April) carried out at the\u00a0Montmel\u00f2<\/strong>\u00a0circuit in\u00a0Barcelona\u00a0<\/strong>where\u00a0Mike\u00a0<\/strong>immediately did a fantastic job, showing that he did not lose the feeling with the Lambo staying always in the top five on both days.<\/div>\n
The French event is the first out of seven rounds that will take place on the most important European circuits, which format includes two races per weekend, one hour each, both preceded by a qualifying session. The season debut in the\u00a0GT International Open\u00a0<\/strong>comes just few days later\u00a0Michele<\/strong>\u00a0took the podium\u00a0<\/strong>at the\u00a0ADAC Qualifying 24H Race at Nurburgring.<\/strong><\/p>\n
The\u00a02020 European Le Mans Series<\/strong>\u00a0champion is preparing to face this new challenge with the utmost concentration and awareness of the high level of his rivals.
\n\u201cTo understand where we are, we have to wait for the first free practices and qualifying and only then we will know the quality. Certainly the competition is at a high level and we aim to reach the top, but we have everything to do well, team, car and crew.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
The\u00a0GT Open<\/strong>\u00a0enjoys a significant following, runs on some of the most beautiful European tracks, sees eight different manufactures on the track and has media coverage that guarantees live streaming in\u00a072 countries<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0113\u00a0<\/strong>on a delayed basis. The races will be\u00a0broadcast livestream\u00a0<\/strong>on the official\u00a0YouTube<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n
