From Brands Hatch to Silverstone, from Sprint to Endurance series: the protagonists of 2016 Blancpain GT Series will return at the wheel this week end at the legendary Silverstone circuit for the second round of Endurance Cup. Among the over 140 drivers, there are Michele Beretta and Andrea Piccini, together Luca Stolz: the trio will take part to the event on Grasser Racing’s Lamborghini Huracan GT3; the target is to redeem the unlucky round lived in Monza twenty days ago with a good result, as seen by Lamborghini of the austrian team at Sachsenring (ADAC GT Masters) and last weekend at Brands Hatch, where Beretta and Stolz got the win in Silver Cup.

Michele Beretta: “We go to Silverstone after the great performance shown last weekend in Brands Hatch. They are two very different circuits but our Huracan is growing and we are reducing the gap from Mercedes and Audi, actually the cars to beat; the team is doing a great job, even in terms of race strategy and pit stops speed.

Andrea Piccini: “Silverstone is a circuit with many fast corners and it should match the characteristics of our Huracan. Michele and Luca have shown great things and performance last week end in Brands Hatch, and together we want to try to get important points that we lost in the opening round of the Endurance Series in Monza. The Balance of Performance for this race is slightly more favorable than in Monza; This, together the work we are doing stp by step on car settings, gives us hope to be much closer to the top positions.

The second round of Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup will kick off on Saturday, 14 May at 10.55 with the free practice while the pre-qualification will see over 50 GT on track in the afternoon from 16.30; qualify session is scheduled for sunday morning (9.00) while the 3 hours race will start at 15 (live streaming on www.blancpain-gt-series.com).
